An upcoming action-adventure video game, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is developed by ArtPlay and DICO while published by 505 games. The game is produced by the former Castlevania series producer, Koji Igarashi. Producer Igarashi conceived the game after he left the Konami and following the requests from numerous fans for him to create another Metroidvania sort of game. The developer of the action – adventure game has published a brand new trailer. The trailer shows off the large portions of the cathedral stage matching up the game’s combat techniques and art style. The trailer also offers us a slight glimpse of one of the game’s lead fights. We also can see the Church map from the game and distinct set of skills of Miriam who is seen exerting the Whip, Katana and Rapier weapons.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Gameplay and Plot

The game follows the protagonist Miriam. Miriam is an orphan who is afflicted by a curse called alchemist. The curse is gradually turning her skin into the crystal. She must explore a castle filled with the demon and locate the summoner Gebel who as well suffered the same curse but a long time ago so that she can cease the curse.

Bloodstained follows the Metroidvania style gameplay. Miriam will earn powers by defeating enemies that are enabled by the crystals on her body. As a player, you can as well gain power from the items that can be used to make new armor and weapons. Along with the game, you will raise the level, talk with NPCs and gain new weapons to help you on your mission. The game’s producer Koji Igarashi stated the game is presented in a 2.5 D style as it pursues in the style of the Castlevania games.

Apart from some major updates, there hasn’t been much to see about the Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.  However, it was announced by the Kickstarter blog that fans would be able to enjoy the playable demo of the game.
